Linux devices are not supported and will not work.
You will need a broadband or fibre internet connection - dial up will not work. You’ll find a complete list of requirements below.
What are the requirements for Mac computers?
Operating system: Mac OSX 10.12 or later. Earlier versions are not (officially) supported.

Can I watch content on my Linux device?
No, unfortunately due to the level of protection on the content, our player doesn’t support playback on Linux platforms.
Can I watch content on my iPhone/iPad?
You can watch content on your iPhone/iPad, but be aware that mobile browsers are not officially supported and might not work.
We recommend using the latest Safari version for your device, Google Chrome (v115 or above) or Microsoft Edge (v115 or above), and this requires iOS 11.0 or later. Earlier versions may not be supported.
Can I watch content on my Android Device?
You can watch content on your Android Device, but be aware that mobile browsers are not officially supported and might not work.
We recommend using Google Chrome (v115 or above) or the inbuilt browser, and this requires Android 6.0 or later. We recommend using the latest version of your browser as earlier versions may not be supported.
I can’t stream any of the content, what’s going on?
Check your minimum system requirements above.
We recommend that you update to the latest version of your browser.
We use adaptive bitrate streaming which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed. For High Definition (HD) streaming we recommend VDSL, cable or fibre connections as we cannot guarantee consistent HD streaming on ADSL.
Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?
If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent, you may experience problems during playback. Try lowering the playback bitrate.
I got a notification that I have reached the maximum limit of devices. What should I do?
In your account menu, go to My Devices and remove one of your active devices before logging into a new one.
Please be aware that:
- you can remove 1 device every 10 days.
- if you are using Google Chrome and have activated the option to ‘Delete data sites have saved to your device when you close all windows’ you might encounter an issue where you reach the maximum devices limit because each login is registered as a new device. To avoid this, you will need to disable this option while using the Digital Library.
- if you are using a VPN, you might encounter an issue where each login is registered as a new device, causing you to reach the maximum devices limit. To avoid this, you will need to turn off the VPN while using the Digital Library.
